Chris walked slowly down the street, the strap of his duffle-bag slipping in his sweaty grip. He had been working on this plan for a few weeks at least, and every time he thought about it he couldn't help but feel stupid. It was never going to work, leaving a bag some where near Zach's house and hoping him to find it? It was completely ridiculous, he blushed furiously at the thought. Stopping short he stared up at Zach's house as it loomed against the sunset. A light was on in the kitchen and the living room, at least he was home. Taking a deep breath he walked up the drive way and up to the garage. Quickly he threw the bag into the bush next to the door. Biting his lip he held back his smile as he quickly walked up the walk-way and climbed up the steps.
He rang the door bell and knocked—his signature 'hello-it's Chris!' for Zach. Bouncing on the balls of his feet he grinned stupidly as Zach quickly opened the door. His hair was mussed, shirt open and his tight pants were exchanged for a baggy pair of shorts. Zach grinned at Chris, wrapping his hand around Chris's neck he crushed his lips against his.
It surprised Chris but he was soon returning the kiss with vigor before Zach broke off the kiss breathless.
“Usually you shy away from public displays, what was that for?” Chris blushed brushing past Zach and into the house.
“Your lips looked irresistible,” Zach grinned shutting the door “Where you biting your lip again?”
“You know I can't tell, it's such a nervous reflex,” He said quickly.
“Why were you nervous?” Zach asked worriedly, looking Chris over, making sure that nothing seemed out of place or that he didn't look sick “is something wrong?”
“Oh no,” Chris shrugged opening the fridge door and pulling out a few bottles of beer. “Just didn't want to be stalked ya know? Get caught coming here.”
“Oh yeah,” Zach grabbed a bottle of beer from Chris before wrapping his arms around himself, trying not to frown “I understand. Same thing runs through my head when I walk to yours. Maybe one day we'll be able to walk to each others house without worrying.”
“Or I dunno, maybe something else will stop that situation,” Chris grinned walking into the living room.
“What's what supposed to mean? Like you want to end this?”
“No no!” Chris said quickly, he put down the bottle of beer on the coffee table, before pulling Zach close “I'd never want to do that. I just, I'm not really sure what I mean.”
“Are you sure you're feeling well?” Zach laughed as he placed a hand on Chris' forehead, trying to feel for an elevated temperature. “You don't seem to be acting yourself.”
“I just need some resting' and cuddling,” Chris smirked brushing his lips against Zach's, he threaded his fingers through the dark hair pulling him as close to himself as he could.
“You're such a girl,” Zach laughed against Chris's neck “Let's go to bed, there is something new that I want to show you.”
Zach rolled over, flopping him arm expecting to wrap it around Chris' waist and pulling him close, but his arm landed uselessly on the bed. Cracking open one eye he frowned as he realized that Chris had already gotten up and out of bed, possibly went back to his own house while the sun was still sleeping. Sighing he rolled back over onto his back as he ran his fingers through his hair. The room wasn't all that bright, he figured it was still early morning. Throwing the covers off himself he grabbed his shirt from the floor before pulling it around himself.
Quickly Zach went about his morning routine, feeding Harold, putting out freshwater for Harold and Noah, cleaning up the beer bottles as various other things that Chris left around the house. Slowly buttoning up his shirt he grabbed for Noah's leash. Opening the garage door he chained up Noah and lead him outside. Standing on the hot cement he stretched letting the sun hit his body waking him up fully. As he tried to crack his back he noticed a blue object hiding itself in the bushes. Putting Noah's leash in his back pocket he walked slowly up to the bag, he pulled it out carefully. If it was a bomb it surely would've gone off in the middle of the night. Laughing at himself he looked at the name tag, Christopher Pine was written on it, in the familiar scrawl that was Chris' handing writing. Un-zipping it a puff of clothing crept out, shaking his head he threw it into the garage before walking down the driveway and starting his jog.
Chris walked up to the door, ringing the door bell and knocking. It had been a few days since he had been to Zach's house, he figured it would be enough for Zach to find the back and decide for himself what it meant. The door slowly opened, with Zach standing in front of Chris holding onto the blue duffle-bag. His stomach fell, it was limp—empty.
“You tossed my clothing didn't you?” Chris asked quickly grabbing for the bag, but Zach pulled it from his reach.
“I want to show you something,” He grinned turning around and heading toward the bedroom.
“You took all of my clothing and bought clothing you approve of?” Chris asked slowly as he stood in the doorway of Zach's bedroom, scared to go in.
“Stop guessing and get your skinny butt over here,” Zach rolled his eyes throwing the bag in the corner of the room.
Grinning he stooped down before opened the top dresser drawer. He beamed up at Chris as he leaned back to let him look. Chris's heart was in his throat as he saw his clothing, neatly folded (more than what he did in the duffle bag) his shirts almost looked pressed and were separated from the pants. He stood speechless looking down at Zach who was grinning like a bandit.
“Did you press my clothing?” Was all Chris could think to say.
“I got bored, I did iron them, it's useless now of course,” Zach shrugged pushing himself off the floor. “Do you like?”
“I really don't know what to say?”
“Well how about thanks? This is what you wanted isn't it?” He laughed quietly. “I found the duffle in under a bush. You left it there when you stayed the night didn't you?”
“Yes,” Chris blushed “I wasn't sure how to ask you---I mean, I didn't know if you want this you know. It's all going so fast so I'm not sure if this was crossing the line.”
Zach suddenly brought Chris into a heated kiss, to stop the worried rambling. They broke apart both breathless. Chris still blushing as Zach laughed.
“If it was crossing the line, I wouldn't have put them away,” Zach ran his fingers through
Chris' hair “I cleaned out the drawers for you weeks ago.”
