sellega, who wanted Rose & Nine going to the movies. I'm sorry it took so long, the book I wrote it on went missing after my trip and had some of the notes I jotted down for it. I hope you enjoy it :)
“What moving are you taking me too?” Rose couldn't help but grin as she hung on the leather clad arm of the Doctor. They strolled quietly down Hollywood Boulevard taking in the sights.
She beamed at her surroundings, Rose knew she couldn't be all that far into the future. Everything looked the same from what she had seen in pictures and descriptions. It had more of a Tokyo florescent look now, but it held that same Hollywood feel. The stars under her feet were a mix of people she heard of and admired, while others she couldn't even begin to pronounce. She couldn't help but wonder if any name she walked over would appear in the movie they were about to see.
“So are you going to tell me?” She pipped up tugging at his arm as his brown eyes shown with amusement. “Or do I have to wait?”
“We're almost there, five more feet and you'll see,” He patted her hand calmly as she sighed.
Rose couldn't help but feel excited as she skipped a head of the Doctor no longer looking at her feet but trying to see the group of people gathering around the theater a head of her. There was a small group staring at the billboard as she walked up to the line waiting for tickets. She felt the Doctor come up behind her as she continued to stare. Suddenly a huge image of a three-dimension shark appeared aiming right for her. Staring in amazement she other people around her laughed hysterically as she flinched away from the image as it tried to clamp down around her head. Behind her she heard the familiar chuckle of the Doctor.
“Warn me next time,” Rose said glaring at him straightening her jean jacket moving away from the hologram.
“That's exactly how I expected to play out, just like Marty McFly!” The Doctor grinned wildly at her.
“What—ugh Doctor!” Rose said exasperated as she moved away closer to the box office. “Well what are we seeing?”
“Did that give it away?” He grinned brightly.
“No, now tell me,” She rolled her eyes looking at the upcoming posters.
“Jaws 3000,” The Doctor pointed the the now playing above the box office. Rose looked at the scrolling times, more than half the theater was playing this movie.
“Jaws 3000?” Rose blinked quickly before shaking her head “Who's in this?”
“Samuel L. Jackson!”
“He's still alive?”
“God No, this is his Great Great Great Grandson,” He counted off on his fingers.
“Wonderful—wait, is this a remake of the original Jaws 3?”
“Yup!” He bounced on the soles of his feet as he waited in line. “I heard it was vastly better than the original.”
“A three year old could make something better than the original,” Rose muttered under her breath.
“Two please, for Jaws 3000!” The Doctor said happily as he slid the employee bills of a blue tint. Rose wandered away from the Doctor as she inspected the poster for the movie. It was holographic, two moving surfers were smiling carefree as the giant great white shark was tailing them. Rose laughed shaking her head, turning she ran into the Doctor. He beamed holding up paper glasses for her. “I forgot it's in three-dimensions!”
“We're in the year 3000 and they have to resort to hokey nineteen-eighty tricks?” Rose sniggered grabbing the glasses before heading into the theater.
“If you get scared you can hold my hand!” The Doctor laughed quietly in her hear before walking past her into the theater.
“Doctor!” Rose laughed following him into the cool building.
