Author Notes: Okay I this story developed from a dream I had. And Yes Billy was actually in the dream and yes...well you get the picture.

A shadow was cast over his face from the angle he was sitting. But he was looking at the people in front of him. But mostly looking at the girl. She stood just under six feet. With short brown hair and piercing hazel eyes. She was staring back at him. With loathing and love. Her arms were folded in front of her, she did not take her eyes of the person.

“Now, there is something important that you all should know.” He said in a heavy Scottish accent. “An evil is around. And this evil we cannot destroy, this evil could only be thought up as in a dream. And that’s where it is, in our dreams.”

“And how do you know of this Billy?” She asked him “Surely you have had to dreamt about it.”

“I did, it was a world of it’s own. You have to be in the right state of mind for it to occur.” Billy explained.

“Mr. Boyd, what are you trying to say? We have a case of Freddy Kruger on our hands? But it’s something you cannot see?”

“Yes, that’s exactly it. It’s a journey that must be accomplished in the dream.” Billy explained.

“And what are we supposed to do about this?” A man asked standing next to the girl.

“Well, I suppose we have to destroy what ever it is.” Bill said.

“And how are we to do that Mr. Boyd?”

Billy sat silent contemplating if he should say anything. He didn’t want to risk any harm to these people. But something had to be done before someone got badly hurt. The girl shifted the weight on her feet and a floor board creaked underneath her. He sighed, shifting his weight in the chair and pulled out a necklace from his front right pocket. Holding it arm length from him he showed everyone in the room.

“This….we must use this to destroy what ever is in our dream.” He said with a quake in his voice.
Some of the people laughed, but the girl looked dead at him and said “And what exactly are we supposed to do with a ring on a necklace?”

“Wear it.” Billy said with all seriousness.

“What’s it do?” A man asked whipping his eyes.

“I’m not really sure, but what I know is if you wear this it’ll give you answers.”

The silence was hurtful. Everyone was murmuring. No one believed what Billy was saying, there was no possible way something like this could happen. Suddenly it all stopped

“Thanks for telling us this Bill, we’ll watch out for it in our dreams…and call you if something happens.”
The men jeered.

Everyone stirred and gathered their things, they were walking to the doors of the room. The girl occasionally caught “Bill’s finally cracked”, “All those movies he’s been in are finally effecting him” Some brushed passed the girl, others knocking shoulders with her. But she stood her place. Once they all left Billy rose from his spot.

He was just about an inch taller then the girl. With short blonde-brown hair. He had the same eyes as the girl but not as piercing. He had a tired look on his young face. He hadn’t slept in days. He put the necklace back into his pocket. And walked toward the girl. He put his forehead on hers.

“You all right?” She asked him.

“Oh yes I’m fine, perfectly fine.”

“Liar, Billy what is the matter? Is there something I can do?” She asked looking into his eyes.

“I cannot ask it of your. You might be harmed!” He backed away grabbing her hands. “I must do it.”

“Look I’m stronger than you think! I can do it if you want me to. Your tired and forlorn. You must rest!”
She insisted.

Billy smiled at her “I underestimate you more than I should.” Billy reached down into his pocked and pulled out the necklace with the ring on it. Reluctantly he placed it around her neck. He kissed her cheek. She smiled at him, and walked away.

Billy watched her as she walked into another room. He didn’t want her to do this task. He never wanted her to do it, he didn’t want to risk it. But he knew that she would be able to do it. If he could do it so could she. Billy went to the bed in the room. Kicking off his shoes he laid down and fell sleep.

The girl walked out of the bathroom in her nightgown. She walked to the bed in which Billy lay. Taking the quilt from the other side she wrapped it around him. She stood looking at him for a minute. Bending down she kissed him on the lips and walked into the next room. She stood over her bed for a while, unsure of what would happen when she went to bed. Pulling at her sheets she got underneath them, clicking out the light she turned over and fell asleep.

There was a dark tower. Higher then the highest mountain. It was darker then even the night air. Looking at it made the hair on the back of her neck stand up. And she shivered though it was burning hot . Suddenly there was a rush of cold air, bone chilling air. And she rose up to the peak of the tower. She was staring into a lidless eye, covered in nothing but fire, with a slit pupil. It suddenly occurred to her that she was more than 500 ft up in the air, she looked down and screamed but no sound came out. There was nothing holding her up from below. And nothing from behind.

She was staring into the eye, she wasn’t blinking. She felt a terrible weight on the back of her neck. She was almost in a bowing position. Her necklace seemed to have gained 20 pounds in a second. But suddenly the weight was gone. She was hearing an echoing voice saying something.

You cannot hide
I am every where
Always in your dream
I see you!
There is no life
In the void!

She pulled at the necklace and she was falling to the ground at a slow speed. She continued to stare at the lidless eye as she fell. She was at the ground but she hit a mattress.

She awoke, breathing heavy. She felt something in her hand. Unclenching it there was the necklace and the ring. She felt her neck with her other hand. Just minutes before it was there. She sat up, she was shaking all over. And covered in a cold sweat. Her body was shaking so much that she wasn’t able to move much. Finally steadying herself she stumbled into Billy’s room.

Collapsing in front of his bed she stirred him awake. He awoke. He rushed out of the bed to her side. Cradling her on the floor, she told him of what happened. And what she saw, and the strange voice. He looked at her when she was done. Weak, cold, she looked like she had the flu. Bending down he kissed her on the lips trying to comfort her. He continued to cradler her on the floor. She seemed like she was half asleep. She was muttering nonsense. He caught “He’s ways there, he’s never going to leave. You cannot destroy him.” She went limp in his arms. She fainted.

You know, I think this is my favorite story so far. I think it's the insane amount of Billeh angst.
