Author's Note: The long waited (?) sequel to Two Worlds Apart! This is the only chapter I currently have written but I plan on changing that once school has ended for the year. So probably in a about a week or so I'll be starting to work on this story again. And this time I'll post when ever the chapter image is made. Which hopefully won't take forever next time. Enjoy!

Victoria stared longingly out of the window of Grimmauld Place, she had been cooped up in the house for months without even a trip to Diagon Alley. Not that it would do much good, from reports half of the place was in ruins and only the Weasley shop still managed to run. Resting her forehead against the chilled window pane she watched the children kicking a football between each other on the empty street. She didn't even like sports and she's rather be outside playing footy then sitting in the second floor library going over papers that she didn't even understand half the time.

She had turned into the Order's bookkeeper since she had been here. Organizing papers, sending them out as secretly as possible, trying to figure out what materials were needed for what ever trip someone was going on. Victoria easily became spiteful of her friends as they got to go out and experience the war instead of watching it through a window pane. If she was going to be truthful to herself she would say that she would rather be doing the paper work then fighting. It was much easier to be the damsel in distress than the fighting queen.

Sometimes she wondered if that's why Draco flocked to Meagan after every time that she came back, if it was because he wanted the fighting girl and not one who was sitting in the library calculating. She laughed quietly to herself and pulled her legs up to her chest. There were talks of sending her out to find information. If it was one thing she was good at it was charms and anything could be charmed and uncharmed easily when it was in her hands. The door opened with a noisey creek that stirred her from her thoughts. Draco poked his head around the door and she grinned widely at him.

“Lunch time,” Draco smiled back at her as he pushed open the door and walked into the room. Victoria swung her legs off of the perch and ran up to Draco, wrapping her arms around his neck she buried her face into his shoulder. “What's this for?”

“It gets really lonely in here,” Victoria frowned, it wasn’t the reaction she wanted, but she did catch him off guard a little so she shrugged it off. “I'd like some company from time to time.”

“Well I can arrange that,” He brought her at arms length and kissed her lightly. “But you've been locked in here for hours. I didn't even feel you get up this morning.”

“You were too tired, did you sleep okay?” Victoria laced her fingers with Draco's as he lead her from the room. His walk faltered a moment. “You didn't have a nightmare did you?”

“No,” He shook his head and smiled lightly “They run wild in this house but it wasn't my turn last night.”

“Yeah,” Victoria stopped on the first floor landing and lowered her voice “I heard Meagan screaming last night. Do you think she's okay?”

“Oh I'm sure of it,” Draco smiled broadly. Victoria looked at him slowly almost glaring.

“And how do you know?”

“Well—I--I saw her in the kitchen, she seemed fine,” Draco kissed the top of her head “Harry said she was just a little jump this morning. She got over it, she knows she's safe in here.” Draco started to walk back down to the kitchen,

“At least she can escape,” Victoria mumbled as she followed him down the stairs. She lingered in the entrance hall of the house and stared at the door. Freedom was just outside that door: a mere five steps away and she could be outside. Outside but running, she was tied to the Order now she would never be able to escape Death Eaters.

“Vic, are you coming to lunch?” Meagan had come up from the kitchen, she was leaning on the door frame. She threw some popcorn in her mouth as she turned her head at her best friend. “Are you okay? You look a little rattled. Why are you staring at the door?”

“I'm getting a little stir-crazy,” Victoria frowned as her friend walked toward her. She wrapped arm around her friend and lead her toward the kitchen. “We all get like that, we have been here for ages. But don't worry, I think we're going to get out of here soon.”

“Where?” Victoria's voiced lightened as she stopped walking and turned hopefully toward her friend.

“Diagon Alley!” Meagan threw the rest of the popcorn in her mouth.

“But isn't that place supposed to be really sketchy?”

“Beggars can't be choosers,” Meagan replied with her mouth full.

Victoria allowed herself to be guided into the kitchen where Draco was sitting at the far end of the table while Harry and Ron were sitting at the opposite end. It had been a year since Draco was brought to the Order Headquarters tortured and beaten, but Ron and Harry especially still treated him as if he had the plague. It broke Victoria's heart to see Draco abandoned when he did everything he could to save her. She slipped from Meagan's arm and walked over to Draco where she kissed him lightly and slid into the chair next to him where her sandwich was waiting for her. It didn't slip her attention that Meagan's eyes lingered on Draco a minute before sitting in a chair next to Hermione and slipping back into their conversation. Draco's eyes flickered toward her but then he turned his head toward Victoria and smiled brightly at her and she forgot about Meagan's look.

Draco knew his quick glance didn't escape Victoria's sight. But he quickly turned his attention to her and he knew that would easily sway her from the thought. He reached out and grabbed her hand and kissed it lightly.

“Are you feeling better?”

“Yes, Meagan told me there's a chance we could get a chance to go out!” Victoria said happily.

“Well,” Draco frowned “I heard that too, but I don't think it's just a trip to the shops. It'll be for a reason.”

“And do you know that reason?” Victoria asked slowly.

“I wish I did,” Draco frowned as he looked at Ron and Harry at the far end of the table. “I don't think it's anything good for any of us really.”

“But I'll get to go out in the field!” Victoria said hopefully as she squeezed Draco's hand. “I don't like being cramped up in this house. I have to get out Draco.”

“It's safer inside,” He said slowly as she removed her hands from his. She leaned back in her chair, crossed her arms and frowned. “No listen to me,” He leaned closer to her and lowered his voice “We'll all in danger here, everyone in this room, somethings going to happen!”

“Well then tell someone!” Victoria said quickly, it may feel like a prison but it was safe.

“I'm not entirely sure what's happening yet.”

“Are you still talking---”

“Shush! No one knows,” He glanced around the table—everyone was in their own conversations still. “Please, I told you that in confidence, keep your mouth shut about it.”

“Fine,” Victoria glared at him as she pushed herself away from the table. “I'm going to our room.” She said loud enough to try to get a reaction out of Meagan but she was sitting next to Harry now talking privately with him. His arm was wrapped around her and she fit perfectly into the side in his side. Victoria smiled to herself. Sometimes she would find herself a little jealous of her friend, but Victoria realized that she came out of all of this better. At least she wasn't on the Ministry's most wanted, or You-Know-Who's.

“Yeah I'll be up there in a little, I've got to finish a few things,” Draco snuck a glance at Meagan when Victoria had her back to him. His heart thumped loudly in his chest as he finally looked at her today. He was amazed that she could put on such a brave face for everyone around her. She turned her head toward him, he could see how she really felt for a moment before she turned back to Harry. Pushing himself away from the table he placed his dishes in the sink as he walked over to the group of friends.

“Draco, have you finished repairing that trinket?” Hermione asked as she leaned back to look at him. “It's not terribly important but I want to see if it has any value before we toss it away.”

“I was about to start working on it again soon,” He smiled “Victoria's just been in a bit of a mood, trying to quell it down a bit.”

“I think we're all getting a bit stir-crazy,” Meagan said slowly not looking at Draco. “I wish there was a place that we could go to run around and scream.”

“We can always make one of the empty rooms into a gym,” Ron supplied.

“Don't think that's what she was looking for Ron,” Draco said slowly “Victoria said something about a Diagon Alley trip?”

“We're working on it,” Harry said carefully “It's not for pleasure that's for sure.”

“I didn't figure it was.”

“We're going to need Victoria to do some investigating for us,” Hermione supplied when no one said anything else “Go into a few of the burnt down shops see if we can find anything.”

“I'm sure she'll love that,” Ron said quietly, Hermione shot him a look to shut him up.

“The thing is, we're going to need you to convince her to go alone,” Hermione said slowly.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Meagan sat in the library tapping her quill against the table's surface as she zoned out staring at the opposite wall. Everything began to blend together in her vision as her mind wandered. Last night, last night so went to Draco instead of Harry. Rather Draco came to her. She shouldn't be doing this, they shouldn't be doing this. It was far too easy for them to slip up in a house where someone could easily over hear or walk in. All she wanted was for things to work out, she thought she had everything set, she choose Harry it was simple as that. Her feels for Draco could be forgotten, ignored locked away forever if she just wanted to do so. But she couldn't, not really. He was her first love, a forbidden love between a Slytherin and a Gryffindor. She laughed aloud and shook her head.

“Meagan? Where are you?”

“In the library Victoria,” Meagan shouted a few minutes later Victoria popped into the room right next to the chair she slid herself into. “What's going on?”

“I can't find out this translation,” She frowned, she hated when she couldn't figure something out. Even if she never took Ancient Runes she struggled through it to prove that she could.

“Is this the one that Draco and Hermione found?” Meagan reached for it, Victoria handed it over willingly. She had been looking over it for hours.

“Yes,” She frowned “I can't seem to find that middle one. Have you ever come across it before?”

“Not that I could remembered,” Her brow furrowed in concentration. “I'll have to see if I can find it in any of my books. I don't think it's a common encounter.” She slid the paper back across the table and returned to her paper.

“I heard you screaming last night,” Victoria blurted out. Meagan sighed placing her quill down she hand her hands over her tired eyes. “Are you okay? You hide it well from the others but I've known you longer. You look rough.”

“They were chasing me again Vic,” Meagan said slowly “They caught me.”

“It was just a dream,” She reached her hand out and grabbed Meagan's.

“But it was so real! I could feel my lungs burning from running, the smell of the forest and the trees as I ran past them. I thought I was going to die.”

“You're safe you know,” Victoria smiled “Everyone here we protect each other yeah?”

“Yeah,”

“Just remember, it was a dream, not real. You're safe,” Victoria stood up and hugged her friend lightly. “You've probably been working too hard why don't you go take a break. A nap with Harry or something? I'll be upstairs with Draco if you need me.”

With a quick wave she was out of the room. Meagan frowned and looked at her paper. The last half of it was unintelligible. Grumbling to herself she ripped off the last half of the parchment. A good portion of her days work was unusable, so she pushed herself away from the table and left the room. She felt tired and exhausted as she climbed the stairs up to her and Harry's room. As she passed Victoria and Draco's shared room she heard giggling and noises she would rather not have witnessed so she ran the remainder of the hall and slammed the door of her room shut.
