Story: The Selfish Giant by O'Henry

All we did was play in his garden! We didn't know why he got so angry. We were as careful as we could be. It was just so beautiful that we could not stay away. The blossoms were drawing us in. We didn't know why he shut us out for such a long time. Those poor flowers and trees always stuck in winter never being able to grow. It took us years but we found a way back into the garden. Scared we were when he found us. Some of us thought it was stupid to try to go back into the garden.
We found the giant dead and we were terribly sad. All we wanted to do was play with the Giant and find the missing child. We all loved the Giant.
