Authors Note: It's John Cena's 29th Birthday on April 23rd, and I figured I'd celebrate it with a story! Happy Birthday John!

The glasses were set, drinks mixed and stirred, as she placed the drink down on the table she heard the garage door open. She smiled as the quickly left the room and shut the doors behind her. Before running down the stairs to the front door she quickly checked her hair and straightened her dress. She stood at the top of the stairs waiting for her husband to stand at the foot of the stairs.
“Hon, where are you?” He called out to her.
“The stairs,” She couldn’t help but smile.
“The place is so quietly where’s little John-wow,” He said staring at her as he stood at the bottom of the stairs.
Slowly his wife twirled around in her knee length black cocktail dress, stopping the skirt twirled around her. Smirking she slowly walked down the steps toward her husband, he stood immobile at the bottom of the stairs. Reaching her husband she ran a finger down his chest as she placed a long kiss on his lips.
“Wow that was,” He said stunned “What’s the occasion?”
“It’s your birthday of course,” She smirked wrapping her arms around his neck.
“I thought the party was tomorrow,” He said looking at her confused.
“It is,” She frowned at him “But today is your actual birthday and I figured we could celebrate, without
your friends.”
“Oh,” He said smirking at his wife.
“Little John, is with Paul and Stephanie they said they could have him the entire night,” She smirked “So
Mr. Cena we have the house to ourselves.”
“Good to hear Mrs. Cena,” He said kissing her. Scooping her up in his arms he carried his wife up the stairs “Where to?”
“There!” She smiled pointing to the spare room that was used mostly for storage; she had spent the entire day clearing out that room.
“But babe,” John said putting her down on the floor.
“Ah! Mr. Cena are you second guessing your wife?” She smiled cheekily “Open the doors.”
“Okay,” He said slowly as he opened the double doors, before he opened them fully he looked over his shoulder at his smirking wife.
“Go on silly!” She giggled.
Still confused why his wife would want to spend his birthday in the spare room John slowly opened
the doors. His eyes widened in surprise as he saw the room. A small rug was placed in the center of the hardwood floor; on the rug was a plate of cup cakes. John slowly walked into the room, directly in front of him was a bar tray filled with different kinds of martini’s and other fruit cocktails. He turned around and smiled at his wife.
“Cocktails and cupcakes?” He laughed
“I didn’t have enough time to make a cake,” She blushed.
“Hem?” John coughed.
“Okay so I spent my time on the cocktails and ended up buying the cupcakes from the store leave me alone,”
She said folding her arms and frowning.
“Babe I love it,” He said kissing her as he picked her back up. “But that’s a lot of drinks.”
“I know,” She smiled as he placed her back down “I don’t expect us to drink them all. Just most,” She
smirked walking around him and into the room.
“Good thing I don’t have to work tomorrow or I’d lose,” He smiled walking into the room after her.
“If you had to work tomorrow I wouldn’t let you go,” She said simply. “You wouldn’t want to make a fool of
yourself would you?”
“I do that anyways,” John said frowning at her as she sat quietly on the rug.
“Well I mean making a fool of yourself even more,” She smiled sticking her tongue out at him.
“You’re such a child,” He sighed.
“But you still married me,” She giggled.
“Only because I love you babe,” He winked and smiled back as he took a seat across from her after he
grabbed two drinks.
“Thanks,” She said quietly as he handed her the blue drink.
“To,” John started the toast but couldn’t think of anything to say, redness rising in his cheeks he
smiled. “To us, a wonderful marriage, a beautiful son, from his mother of course, great friends--”
“And to a wonderful life together,” She finished up for him “And to you, happy birthday, John.” She smiled
at him before raising the glass to her lips.
John nodded raising his glass and downing the drink in one sip. Closing his eyes he smiled,
licking his lips he placed the cup down on the hard wood floor. Opening his eyes he grinned at this wife, he watched her as she finished taking a sip of her drink.
“I love you,” He said kindly to her as he crawled over to her.
“I know you do,” She smiled as he wrapped his arms around her from behind. “I loved you from the moment I
saw you.” She said leaning back against his chest. “There was something that drew me toward you.”
“The belt around my waist,” He laughed.
“No,” She said slowly “It was the way you looked at me, like you had known me your entire life. Your eyes
glistened, you smiled brightly and you walked right up to me, I thought you were going to kiss me.” She
added with a laugh.
“Well I was,” He said blushing “But I thought you were so cute, I didn’t want to get slapped before I
could ask you out on a date.”
“I would’ve slapped you, but I still would’ve said yes to the date,” She laughed kissing John’s hand.
“That’s good to know,” He sighed “You couldn’t tell me that four years ago?”
“Would it have made a difference?” She said quickly.
“No,” He kissed the side of her face.
“Good, I wouldn’t change how we got together for anything in the world,” She grinned nostalgically.
“Me either who knew I’d meet the love of my life at a concession stand.” He laughed.
“Who knew the wrestlers went to the concession stands.” She quipped back.
“Normally we don’t, but hey when we’re bored we do anything, besides Paul had to get something for
Stephanie that wasn’t in the back, so I went with him.” He explained.
“I’m surprised you two were able to conceal yourselves from the fans,” She said leaning back more against
his chest as he wrapped his arms tighter around her waist.
“So was I, we just wore our normal clothing, and hats,” He laughed “Never ask Paul to wear a hat, it
doesn’t look right with his hair.”
“I’ll remember that,” She giggled. “I still can’t believe you dragged me backstage after you met me at the
concession stand. I felt so out of place.”
“Yeah, I’m surprised they actually let you come. Didn’t the people you went with wonder where you went
after you didn’t come back with the food?” He asked.
“Surprisingly no,” She said trying to remember “They didn’t care; Shawn Michaels apparently came out when
I was backstage with you. They didn’t miss me one bit.”
“You guys went to see RAW for Shawn Michaels?” John asked slowly.
“Well yes,” She said quietly “No offence hon, but I was watching Shawn Michaels before I even knew you
existed. I hadn’t heard about you still about a month before we went.”
“So that’s why you can never look at him in the face,” John started to laugh.
“It’s not funny,” She said blushing as she drank the last bit of her drink.
“I’m sorry babe,” He laughed kissing her on the top of her head. “But Shawn Michaels, who knew his song,
actually meant something.”
“John be nice,” She said quietly “Shawn’s your friend.”
“Yes, mother,” John laughed. “How about we get us some more drinks.”
“Sure,” She said pushing herself off of John “I’ll get them, what kind do you want?”
“What ever you want to get me,” He smiled watching her going to the bar tray and picked up two drinks.
“Mr. Cena,” She smiled handing him an orange one.
Quietly she sat back down in his lap as he wrapped an arm around her waist. This time she drank
their drinks in silence enjoying each others company. Slowly the hours rolled on and the drinks
disappeared but the cupcakes were never touched.
“Would you like a cupcake?” She asked getting up from his lap, he reached for her, but she swatted his
hands away “You gotta have one of them, greedy.”
“But I want you babe, I can have a cupcake any day.” He said quietly.
“But it’s your birthday,” She laughed picking up the cupcake with the candle in it, smiling she took out a
lighter and lit the candle. Crawling back to John she smiled “Make a wish Mr. Cena.”
John frowned; closing his eyes he took a deep breath and blew out the candle. He slowly opened his eyes and grinned at this wife. Taking the candle out from the cupcake she licked off the frosting. Grinning at him, she shoved the cupcake into his face. Laughing she kissed him slowly on the lips. Scraping the frosting from his face he rubbed it onto his wife’s.
“John,” She laughed, as she licked the frosting off of his fingers.
“I only did it so I could do this,” He smirked leaning toward her; he licked the frosting off of her.
“Eww John that was nasty,” She said crinkling her nose as she wiped away the remainder of the frosting.
“I just wanted to see you crinkle your nose,” He winked at her.
“You can be so weird,” She said shaking her head. “So what did you wish for on your 29th birthday?”
“You know if you say your wish it won’t come true,” He said kindly to her.
“Who says it will come true?” She smirked after she slowly kissed him.
“Because I know it will,” He said kissing her back.
Breaking their kiss she pushed the plate of cupcakes off of the rug. Kissing her again he laid her down on the ground. Breaking their kiss again he smiled down at his wife as she smiled kindly back at him.
“Happy birthday John,” She said slowly before he began to kiss her again.
