Author's Note: The long waited (?) sequel to Two Worlds Apart! This is the only chapter I currently have written but I plan on changing that once school has ended for the year. So probably in a about a week or so I'll be starting to work on this story again. And this time I'll post when ever the chapter image is made. Which hopefully won't take forever next time. Enjoy!

“Meagan watch out!” Harry screamed at her as she darted through the dark forest. Spells hitting the trees around her as she barely had time to pass them. Her lungs burned as every breath she took sucked no air from them. She could feel the Death Eaters upon her, her legs couldn't move anymore as she pushed herself off of trees to try to launch herself back into motion. She stopped and her eyes rolled into the back of her head as she couldn't breathe and fell to the hard forest ground. Dead leaves crunched around her as the Death Eater slowly approached. Her heart pounded in her throat as the faceless person stepped in front of her and raised their wand. Slowly she closed her eyes and wished it would be painless.

“NO!” Meagan quickly sat up in her bed and frantically looked around the dark room. As her eyes adjusted to the lack of light she relaxed as she realized she was safe. Swallowing deeply she leaned against the headboard and looked to her right. Harry lay sleeping quietly next to her, the quilt wrapped tightly around him. He looked so peaceful and worry free sleeping. Meagan brushed the hair back from his forehead and kissed him lightly before throwing off the covers and sliding off the bed. She crept quietly to the bedroom door, opening it noiselessly she looked at Harry one more time before walking into the hall.

The hall was empty and dark, but every shadow and noise made her jump out of her skin. The water felt nice against her hot face. Cupping her hands she splashed her face one more time before shutting off the sink and resting on the counter. Reaching blindly for the towel she cleared her eyes as she looked up into the mirror.

Over the last year she changed so much that she couldn't recognize herself anymore. She had to change her hair color more often than Tonks in order to fool anyone who was trying to find her. With that her style changed when it could. It was almost back to her normal length, she was starting to miss running her fingers through it. Leaning forward she frowned into the mirror as she rubbed the scar that ran from the corner of her eye to the side of her cheek. The scar was almost a year old, it was from a mistake—a fight that she wasn't ready for.

School had been over for barely a month as Meagan followed Hermione and Ron through the forest. She was on her toes as much as she could be in the closely clustered pines. They walked in a straight line trying to reach their destination before night fall. They were to camp out over night before finishing the rest of their journey. With some quick conjuring at the destination Hermione went into the tent to work on the potions needed for their mission tomorrow as Ron and Meagan sat watch.

Darkness surrounded Ron and Meagan as they sat by the fireside. The crackling was the only sound as Ron looked at Meagan across the flames as she played with the fire. He studied her as the light played eerily with her looks. He could tell that something was bothering her, but he wasn't sure if it was her nerves on her first trip or the fact that Harry wasn't around to protect her.

“We'll project you as well as Harry can,” Ron blurted out, he frowned at himself, but heard Meagan chuckle quietly.

“I'm not doubting that,” She sighed throwing the stick into the fire watching the sparks flair up.

“Then what's wrong?”

“Just a little jumpy, I don't think I'm ready for this,” Meagan bit her lip as she pushed herself off on the ground “I haven't even finished school—I don't know everything, or what they think I should know before I'm shoved out into the world. But I've been shoved out early thanks to Death Eaters over running the school!”

“Woah calm down there!” Ron quickly walked up to her and hugged her lightly “It is a little scary the first time, but you get used to it.”

“I hope you're right.” Meagan said quietly resting her head on Ron's shoulder.

Ron was worried for her, Harry tried his best to give her the training he thought would help her in this cause but he only had so much time before she went out. The spells rely on the power and emotion behind them, one little slip in concentration and everything could go wrong. But he wasn't going to tell her that, that would completely destroy her.

A crack sounded not far off from them and they quickly broke their embrace and drew out their wands. Meagan's heart leapt into her throat as she tried to grip her wand with a firm hand. Looking quickly at Ron she backed toward the tent.

“Hermione?” She called into the tent “Hermione please, I think we've been found.”

“Meagan shush,” Ron said quickly walking toward the sound. He motioned for Meagan to come closer to him. Biting her lip she followed, Harry said to do anything that they said, and stood with her back to him as Harry instructed at a time like this. Her eyes darted from left to right as quickly as they could trying to look through the thickness of the dark and the trees. Rustling sounded as Ron gripped her hand reassuringly, he spotted someone.

Mist slowly curled up around them and doused the flames as they were thrown into pitch black. Ron's grip tightened on Meagan's hand so they wouldn't be separated. Lights flashed all around them as the Death Eaters threw spells at them, their own plan slowly working against them. Meagan and Ron sent curses and spells in every direction that the other spells seemed to becoming from but the spells were getting thicker. The ground shook around them as a spell landed at their feet that sent them flying apart.

Meagan landed heavily on her side her wand flying out of her hand on impact. Slowly she tried to regain her placement as she scrambled around trying to find her wand. Light appeared around her and saw her wand an arms length away. It was a finger tip away when she was lifted off the ground and slammed into the ground again. She fell on top of her wand and quickly sent a spell in a blind direction. Scrambling to her feet the light around her began to fade. She reached out in front of her trying to find cover behind something. A curse flew above her head lighting up the area around her, as the looked around frantically for Ron. Just outside of the flash of light she could make out Ron laying on the ground.

She rushed to his side dodging curses as she went along. As she reached him she struggled casting the right spell to protect them. Silent spells were trickier and she didn't want to give away their position but as the spells and curses were getting closer she had no choice. “PROTEGO” Meagan shouted as a temporary shield appeared giving her just enough time to see where the spells were being fired from. Standing on shaking legs she sent every curse that ran through her mind. She was distracted by the shield breaking from around the unconscious Ron that she didn't see the spell flying towards her; only hitting the side of her body it knocked her back a few feet as a terrible pain shot through the side of her face. The pain was too unbearable as she slowly sank to the ground.

Meagan felt a hand on her shoulder as she jumped lightly stirred from her thoughts. Turning around she looked into Draco's worried face. Breathing out she sighed “God, Draco don't do that.”

“Have another nightmare?” He reached for her hand and she allowed him to hold it.

“No,” She tucked a few stray hairs behind her ear.

“Don't lie—I heard you,” Draco frowned at her as he grabbed her hand more tightly. “I'm surprised you didn't wake anyone else. Especially Harry,” He swallowed hard “since he sleeps next to you.”

“You're just sensitive,” Meagan shrugged as she left the bathroom, starting to go back to her room. Draco grabbed her by the shoulder and pulled her back.

“Please, don't pull this bull shit with me,” He said forcefully “I heard you screaming out—for someone.”

“It wasn't you if that's what you thought,” She bit her lip “Look, I know your trying to help but I just haven't been sleeping very well. Not since we got back a few days ago.”

“I'm sorry I wasn't with you,” He said slowly “Victoria she needed me when her family,”

“I understand, it wasn't your duty. I chose to go, it's my fault that I almost got captured—again,” Meagan sighed turning and walking away from her and Harry's bedroom. Draco followed her at a distance as she walked into the sitting room on that floor. She collapsed onto the couch, her hands covering her eyes she sobbed quietly. Climbing on the couch behind her Draco wrapped his arms around her and held her close.

“I made the nightmares go away once,” Draco whispered quietly in her ear as she pulled herself close to him “I can do it again.”

Meagan chuckled and smiled weakly. “You know we can't. We're always being watched.”

“Is that why you refuse to acknowledge my presence from time to time?” She felt Draco's chuckle through her body.

“That's for my own benefit,” Meagan frowned, she thought she had made her decision last year with who she would choose. All she wanted after that night with Draco was to be with Harry he was the one for her, he would protect her, love her, and be there for her. But when Draco and Victoria had broken up for a short time Draco came to Meagan for support, something she didn't want to give him—but did. When Harry was away she couldn't help but think that he was going to die at any moment and she needed comfort herself. She tried regretting every minute spent with Draco, she was still betraying Harry, but she couldn't get over her realization that she was still in love with Draco.

“You know my benefit is to be with you,” Draco said quietly as she rolled onto her other side so she could face him.

“Don't start that,” She frowned, but rested her forehead against his “You're back with Victoria, please realize that. She needs you more than ever now.”

“And what about you?”

“I've got Harry,” Draco scoffed “He's going to protect me the best he can.”

“Yeah he did a good job of that already,” He frowned running his thumb across the scar on her face.

“He wasn't there when that happened,” She sat up quickly, looking back at Draco she frowned “It was my mistakes and mine alone. I did this to myself alright? I have to live with that.”

“Is that what you say so you won't think that Harry caused you to get that?” Draco asked slowly. “You weren't ready.”

“Shut up,” She pushed herself off of the couch and walked to the door, but stopped short of exiting “I know I wasn't ready, I wanted to prove myself to Harry and--,” She sighed and Draco could hear the sob in her throat “I'm surprised you can still think I'm beautiful with this thing on my face knowing that my own stupidity caused it.”

“Oh stop it,” Draco was behind her now, his hand was reaching out to touch her “We all make mistakes,” He distractedly rubbed his left forearm. “And we all have our marks, and some can carry them more proudly than others. You choose not to cover yours while I cover mine.”

“Thanks Draco, even if it was one of your more cheesy moments,” Her head fell as she reached back for his hand which he extended toward hers and squeezed it “I should get back to bed.”

Draco let go of her hand and let her walk away. She walked slowly to the end of the hall toward her bedroom. The door opened and closed noiselessly, before she slowly tip-toed and slipped back into bed. Pulling the covers over herself she stared at the ceiling. Running her hands down her face she frowned, as much as she tried she couldn't help still being close to Draco. Her heart fluttered every time he touched her, her stomach jumped when he said her name and she could always see the love in his eyes. It had to stop—even if apart of her didn't want it to—she reached for Harry's hand.

“Are you alright?”

“Harry you're up?”

“I've been up for a while, I heard you,” He sat up and turned on the light so he could look at her. He slipped on his glasses and looked down at her. Her face was pale which caused her scar to stand out more than usual and her eyes looked glazed over and bruised from the amount of crying. “Oh Meagan why didn't you just wake me? I told you next time you had a nightmare.”

“You need your sleep, I'm not going to wake you up for something as trivial as a little nightmare,” Meagan rolled over on her side facing away from Harry.

“Don't shut me out now please,” Harry frowned, taking off his glasses and shutting off the light. He cuddled up close to her back, wrapping his arm around her he kissed the side of her head. “You're scared, we're all scared and we need each other in this time. It's almost over.”

“I hope you're right Harry,” Meagan said quietly moving closed to him. “I can't wait until we're able to go out and about without worrying about dying.”

“Don't worry about it now,” He kissed her again and closed his eyes. “If you have another nightmare, remember, I'm right here. I love you.”

“I love you too,” She whispered closing her eyes.
